However, it remains an unsightly step, so that larger objects cannot be pushed through as easily as in many combinations or SUV’s. The inner loading (height: 11 cm) is also somewhat disturbing. But the Impreza just doesn’t want to be a functional van, but a hot compact.
Of course: a boxer
As before, there is a four-cylinder boxer engine under the sheet. With the exception of Porsche, the rest of the world has no such thing to offer. 80 percent of all engine parts want to have Subaru’s engineers exchanged or revised. The result: the 2.0-liter engine became lighter and more economical, 156 hp and 196 Newton meters maximum torque.
Both values are not necessarily an expression of pronounced sportiness. Especially since the boxer is coupled to a stepless automatic, which is called Subaru Lineatronic. Because stay always felt some PS hanging somewhere in the oil bath. The boxer lacks the punch, even at the game speed. The Japanese love this relaxed driving feeling – with the dynamics of a double clutch transmission this automatic can inevitably not keep up.
