For the 2020 Suzuki Vitara, the Japanese refresh the Vitara something. In addition to a new engine, the compact SUV also gets a few assistants
After three years, Suzuki’s Vitara gets a smaller entry-level engine. Above all, however, the compact SUV is waiting for the new model year with more safety systems.
Suzuki misses its compact SUV Vitara model year 2019 a fresh cell. Visually, the changes are quite subtle, more profound, however, is a new downsizing engine for the basic version.
2020 Suzuki Vitara Redesign
The face has changed slightly with the facelift. The grille has been adjusted and the Japanese use in the lower bumper area plastic inserts, which give the front a new character. For this purpose, the light graphics of the taillights are modified and new alloy wheels are mounted.
For the exterior, new design alloy wheels are available, a redesigned front grille and the lower bumper is utilized and the rear of the car features a new design and distinctive LED combination lamps. For the interior, the upper instrument panel now incorporates a soft touch material for added quality and the instrument cluster has a new design with color central information display.
Inside, the driver looks at new plastics, soft-touch surfaces and a color display in the instrument cluster. There is a safety plus in the form of traffic sign recognition, cross traffic and blind spot warning as well as lane departure warning.
The previously offered 1.6-liter petrol engine has served for the Vitara. In the future, the entry-level version will be powered by the 1.0-liter Boosterjet with 111 hp and ALLGRIP four-wheel drive, while in the stronger S-version as before the 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine with 140 hp is used. The new 1.0-liter three-cylinder is to be had in combination with manual or six-speed automatic, with the manual gearbox can be combined with four-wheel drive.
Release Date and Price
The market launch of the upgraded after three years Vitara should be timely. The prices are not known yet. However, the base price of currently around € 18,000, if any, will change only slightly
