In the SUV, Lamborghini makes everything different than usual. The platform comes from Audi and the engine from Porsche. The result even surpasses Bentley. Everything about the new 2019 Lamborghini Urus.
This Lambo deviates from the norm because it follows a different standard: as the first car of the brand, the Urus is based on mass production technology. He shares his platform with the Audi Q7 and the next VW Touareg, its engines with Porsche Cayenne and Panamera. That usually sounds. But not at Lamborghini. The Italians build from group parts of the fastest SUV in the world.
That does not come completely unexpected. The 2019 Lamborghini Urus was not born out of pure need, the classic athletes Aventador and Huracan sell themselves splendidly. But the Urus should be able to do one thing better: make money. The segment of luxury SUVs in the 200,000 euro class is young and so far sparsely populated. Here you sell over superlatives. Bentley with the highest leather content and most cylinders. And Lambo soon about the speed.
2019 Lamborghini Urus Engine Specs; 650 Horsepower With 305Km/h
305 km/h maximum speed is in the datasheet of the Urus. This makes it faster than Bentley Bentayga (301km / h) Read : Bentley bentayga Specs , Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk (290 km/h), Porsche Cayenne Turbo (286 km/h) and BMW X6M (280 km/h). And it accelerates almost as fast as the strongest middle-class sedans: in 3.6 seconds, the 2.2-tonner sprints to 100 km. 9.2 seconds later he reaches 200 km/h.
For the Urus gets an engine that actually does not fit Lamborghini. The sports cars of the brand drive with large suckers and high speeds. An exciting concept that does not work in heavy SUVs. Therefore, in the Urus is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 650 hp and 850 Newton meters of torque.

He is the smallest burner in the Lambo program. Audi once developed the gasoline engine for large S and RS models. Porsche overhauled it last year. Two twin-scroll turbos sit between the cylinder banks. A cylinder deactivation at partial load saves fuel. Currently, he makes 485 (Audi A8) to 550 hp (Porsche Cayenne). A stronger variant than the Lambo will probably not exist in the long term.

2019 Lamborghini Urus Terrain Mode
The power of the gasoline engine reaches all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Normally, 60 percent arrive at the rear axle. A Torsen differential distributes a maximum of 70 percent forward or 87 percent backward. Lambo promises good off-road features and optionally offers off-road tires and driving modes for sand and boulders. Sporting tires on 23-inch wheels will probably be more popular.
As standard, there is a ceramic brake system in the largest Lambo. In a front measure the disks 44 centimeters in diameter, in the back 37 centimeters. Saddles with ten (front) and six (rear) brakes stop the Urus in 33.7 meters from 100 km / h.
For good handling despite weight and center of gravity Lamborghini builds a roll compensation, rear-wheel steering and a rear differential with variable power distribution in the Urus. An air suspension increases the ground clearance in an off-road mode to almost 25 centimeters – or lowered it in the racing program to just under 16 inches.
2019 Lamborghini Urus Price and Release Date
But it’s not only the driving data that makes the Urus interesting. He is currently the only Lambo with four seats. One does not fold in like an Aventador but sits sublimely above the traffic. And with 85 liters of tank capacity, he should work on long distances. For most customers, he will probably be the first every day, Lambo.
The first copies of the Urus Lamborghini will deliver in the spring of 2018. Without extras, the Lambo SUV costs 204,000 euros. He is hardly more expensive than a Huracan with rear-wheel drive (178,500 euros) and significantly cheaper than an Aventador (335,050 euros). In addition, it costs less than a Bentley Bentayga (208,480 euros).
In his class he is a – well – bargain. And that will have an effect on the manufactory, which built fine sports cars in a small edition so far. That was just under 3,500 cars in 2016. For the 2019 Lamborghini Urus doubled the capacity: soon it will be 7,000 cars a year. As with Porsche, the SUV will also make the numbers at Lambo.
